Join us during West Seattle’s Art Walk next Thursday, May 9th between 6-10pm for the unveiling party for Cloud Quest, our latest folded paper art installation in our Westside salon and boutique. For those of you who attended our last paper art party, you know that these installations are pretty epic, and this one is taking it to the next level.
The origami-inspired installation, by Katy Itter, Jessica Lee, and VAIN Founder + Styledriver Victoria Ptak, is an atmospheric exploration brought to life with hundreds of pieces vellum, folded to create a cloud pattern across the ceiling.
“The concept is to embrace the weather we so often curse in the Northwest by bringing it inside and celebrating it,” said Victoria.
In addition to the paper cloud sky, the party will feature hair models with dramatic updos inspired by the installation and created by VAIN West Seattle hairstylists (you know we had to get hair involved. It’s what we do!).
